      S.B. No. 2885         AN ACT   relating to the use of reclaimed water that has been treated to meet   certain standards as part of an aquifer storage and recovery   project.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 27.153, Water Code, is amended by adding   Subsection (b-1) to read as follows:           (b-1)     Notwithstanding Subsection (b)(1), the commission by   rule or by individual or general permit may authorize the injection   of reclaimed water that is treated in accordance with standards   adopted by the commission for that purpose.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.               ______________________________ ______________________________      President of the Senate Speaker of the House                 I hereby certify that S.B. No. 2885 passed the Senate on   April 30, 2025, by the following vote:  Yeas 31, Nays 0.       ______________________________   Secretary of the Senate                I hereby certify that S.B. No. 2885 passed the House on   May 28, 2025, by the following vote:  Yeas 118, Nays 17, two   present not voting.       ______________________________   Chief Clerk of the House            Approved:     ______________________________                Date       ______________________________              Governor
