  89R10074 DRS-D     By: Barry H.B. No. 5574       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to the membership of the Texas Groundwater Protection   Committee.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 26.403(c), Water Code, is amended to   read as follows:          (c)  The committee is composed of:                (1)  the executive director of the commission;                (2)  the executive administrator of the Texas Water   Development Board;                (3)  the executive director of the Railroad Commission   of Texas;                (4)  the commissioner of state health services [ of the   Texas Department of Health ];                (5)  the deputy commissioner of the Department of   Agriculture;                 (5-a)     the executive director of the Parks and Wildlife   Department;                (6)  the executive director of the State Soil and Water   Conservation Board;                (7)  the executive director [ Director ] of [ the ] Texas   A&M AgriLife Research [ Agricultural Experiment Station ];                (8)  the director of the Bureau of Economic Geology of   The University of Texas at Austin;                (9)  a representative selected by the Texas Alliance of   Groundwater Districts; and                (10)  a representative of the Water Well Drillers and   Water Well Pump Installers Program of the Texas Department of   Licensing and Regulation selected by the executive director of the   department.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
