  89R2759 DNC-F     By: Plesa H.B. No. 5432       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to the dissemination by the Department of Public Safety of   criminal history record information to consumer reporting   agencies.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Subchapter F, Chapter 411, Government Code, is   amended by adding Section 411.0831 to read as follows:           Sec.   411.0831.     NOTICE REGARDING DISSEMINATION TO CONSUMER   REPORTING AGENCY. The department shall publish on its Internet   website, for each dissemination of criminal history record   information to a consumer reporting agency, as defined by Section   20.01, Business & Commerce Code:                 (1)  the name of the agency;                 (2)     the agency's telephone number, mailing address,   and, if available, e-mail address; and                 (3)  the date of the dissemination.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
