  89R15981 JG-F     By: Talarico H.B. No. 5310       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to the repeal of certain laws regulating abortion and the   construction of abortion statutes.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 171.005, Health and Safety Code, is   amended to read as follows:          Sec. 171.005.  COMMISSION TO ENFORCE[ ; EXCEPTION ].  The   commission shall enforce this chapter [ except for Subchapter H,   which shall be enforced exclusively through the private civil   enforcement actions described by Section 171.208 and may not be   enforced by the commission ].          SECTION 2.  The following provisions are repealed:                (1)  Section 30.022, Civil Practice and Remedies Code;                (2)  Section 311.036, Government Code;                (3)  Chapter 170A, Health and Safety Code;                (4)  Subchapter H, Chapter 171, Health and Safety Code;   and                (5)  Chapter 6-1/2, Title 71, Revised Statutes.          SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
