  89R22235 LRM-D     By: Richardson H.B. No. 4798     Substitute the following for H.B. No. 4798:     By:  Hull C.S.H.B. No. 4798       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to compliance reviews of assisted living facilities.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  The heading to Section 247.0261, Health and   Safety Code, is amended to read as follows:          Sec. 247.0261.  [ EARLY ] COMPLIANCE REVIEW REQUIRED BEFORE   COMPLETION .          SECTION 2.  Section 247.0261(a), Health and Safety Code, is   amended to read as follows:          (a)  The executive commissioner by rule shall adopt a   procedure under which a person who constructs or modifies an   assisted living facility or proposes [ proposing ] to construct or   modify an assisted living facility may submit building plans to the   department for review for compliance with the department's   architectural requirements before completing [ beginning ]   construction or modification.  In adopting the procedure, the   executive commissioner shall set reasonable deadlines by which the   department must complete review of submitted plans.          SECTION 3.  As soon as practicable after the effective date   of this Act, the executive commissioner of the Health and Human   Services Commission shall adopt rules necessary to implement the   changes in law made by this Act.          SECTION 4.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
