  89R1278 AMF-D     By: Goodwin H.B. No. 4252       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to a semiannual progress report by the commissioner of   education on the performance of a school district or district   campus to which a conservator, management team, or board of   managers has been appointed.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Subchapter Z, Chapter 39A, Education Code, is   amended by adding Section 39A.9011 to read as follows:           Sec.   39A.9011.     SEMIANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT ON PERFORMANCE OF   CERTAIN SCHOOL DISTRICTS AND CAMPUSES. The commissioner shall   semiannually prepare and publish on the agency's Internet website a   progress report on the performance of a school district or district   campus to which a conservator, management team, or board of   managers has been appointed under this chapter. The report must,   using specific benchmarks and performance metrics, include:                 (1)     a summary of the overall performance of the   district or campus using district-wide data, including the progress   made by the district or campus in each area of performance   deficiency for which the district or campus was subject to   commissioner action under this chapter; and                 (2)     a comparison of the current performance of the   district or campus to the performance of the district or campus   immediately preceding the appointment of the conservator,   management team, or board of managers.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
