  89R4420 CS-D     By: Guillen H.B. No. 3676       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to the prioritization of awarding grants and loans from   the Texas Energy Fund for certain electric generating facilities.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 34, Utilities Code, is   amended by adding Section 34.0111 to read as follows:           Sec.   34.0111.     PRIORITIZATION OF AWARDS. The commission   shall prioritize the award of a grant or loan under this subchapter   for an electric generating facility with a generation capacity of   at least 750 megawatts.          SECTION 2.  Section 34.0111, Utilities Code, as added by   this Act, applies only to an application for a grant or loan   submitted to the Public Utility Commission of Texas under   Subchapter A, Chapter 34, Utilities Code, on or after the effective   date of this Act.          SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
