  89R13876 MZM-D     By: Holt H.B. No. 3313       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to font and type size requirements for certain political   advertising disclosures.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 255.001, Election Code, is amended by   adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows:           (a-1)     The disclosure required by Subsection (a) for   political advertising other than broadcast political advertising   must be in a font that is easily readable and type size that is no   smaller than 9 points.          SECTION 2.  The changes in law made by this Act apply only to   political advertising that is published or distributed on or after   the effective date of this Act.  The publication or distribution of   political advertising before the effective date of this Act is   governed by the law in effect on the date the advertising was   published or distributed, and the former law is continued in effect   for that purpose.          SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
