  89R8132 ANG-D     By: Hickland H.B. No. 3013       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to a restriction on the use of public money by a school   district regarding the passage of a bond proposal.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Subchapter D, Chapter 11, Education Code, is   amended by adding Section 11.1691 to read as follows:           Sec.   11.1691.     RESTRICTION ON USE OF PUBLIC MONEY REGARDING   BOND PROPOSAL. The board of trustees of a school district may not   spend public money to pay or contract with a person who has an   interest in the passage of a bond proposal by the district to   promote or advocate for the passage of that bond proposal.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
