  89R2470 CS-F     By: Bryant H.B. No. 2167       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to the creation of a gas inventory system by the   independent organization certified for the ERCOT power region, the   Public Utility Commission of Texas, and the Railroad Commission of   Texas.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Subchapter D, Chapter 121, Utilities Code, is   amended by adding Section 121.159 to read as follows:           Sec.   121.159.     GAS INVENTORY SYSTEM. (a)   The railroad   commission shall collaborate with the independent organization   certified under Section 39.151 for the ERCOT power region and the   Public Utility Commission of Texas to create a gas inventory system   in the manner provided by this section.           (b)     The railroad commission by rule shall require each   operator of an intrastate gas pipeline facility described by   Section 121.2015(a)(3) to provide to the independent organization   in real time information about the facility's available gas supply,   including through the use of telemetry or a hotline.           (c)     Information in the gas inventory system is confidential   and not subject to disclosure under Chapter 552, Government Code.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
