      By: Lalani H.B. No. 1900       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to providing water to voters near a polling place.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 61, Election Code, is   amended by adding Section 61.015 to read as follows:           Sec.   61.015.     WATER ALLOCATION TO VOTERS NEAR POLLING PLACE.   (a) A person may distribute water to voters waiting in line at a   polling place, if:                 (1)  the water:                       (A)     is provided in a single use, sealed   container; and                       (B)     does not contain any branding, logos, or   messaging related to a campaign, measure, or political party; and                 (2)  the distribution of the water:                       (A)  is conducted in a nonpartisan manner; and                       (B)     does not obstruct or interfere with the   voting process.           (b)     A person distributing water under this section may not   wear attire or display materials that represent a campaign,   measure, or political party.           (c)     Election officials shall ensure that any person   distributing water at a polling place complies with this section.   The election official may remove a person found in violation of this   section from the polling place.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
