  89R2540 JDK-D     By: Lozano H.B. No. 1293       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to the regulation by the Texas Commission on Environmental   Quality of certain outdoor burns conducted during a state of   disaster or state of emergency.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 382.018, Health and Safety Code, is   amended by adding Subsection (h) to read as follows:           (h)     The commission may not require notification to or   authorization from a commission regional office as a prerequisite   for conducting a controlled outdoor burn of combustible plant   growth in a county in which a state of disaster or state of   emergency has been declared by the governor or the president of the   United States, unless the declaration expressly prohibits all   outdoor burning.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
