  89R3204 PRL-D     By: Cole H.B. No. 1100       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to a tenant's provision of notice to a landlord for a   repair or remedy through an online apartment portal.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 92.052(d), Property Code, is amended to   read as follows:          (d)  The tenant's notice under Subsection (a) :                 (1)   must be in writing only if the tenant's lease is in   writing and requires written notice ; and                 (2)     may be provided by the tenant to the landlord   through an online apartment portal, if one is maintained by the   landlord and rent is paid through the portal .          SECTION 2.  Section 92.052(d), Property Code, as amended by   this Act, applies only to a lease agreement entered into or renewed   on or after the effective date of this Act.          SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
