  89R15492 JTZ-F     By: Thompson, Walle, Jones of Harris H.B. No. 491       A BILL TO BE ENTITLED   AN ACT   relating to certain civil penalties collected for violations of   laws regulating massage therapy.          BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:          SECTION 1.  Section 455.351, Occupations Code, is amended by   adding Subsection (f-1) to read as follows:           (f-1)     A civil penalty recovered in an action by a district   or county attorney under this section shall be deposited to the   credit of the general fund of the county where the court is located   and used only for purposes of combatting human trafficking.   A civil   penalty recovered in an action by a municipal attorney under this   section shall be deposited to the credit of the general fund of the   municipality and used only for purposes of combatting human   trafficking.          SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
