CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2025–2026 REGULAR SESSION Assembly Bill No. 2733 Introduced by Assembly Member Petrie-Norris February 20, 2026 An act to amend Section 50001 of the Government Code, relating to local government. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2733, as introduced, Petrie-Norris. Local agencies. For purposes of specified provisions relating to the common powers of cities and counties, existing law defines the term “local agency” to mean county, city, or city and county, unless the context otherwise requires. This bill would make a nonsubstantive change to this provision.
