CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2025–2026 REGULAR SESSION Assembly Bill No. 2709 Introduced by Assembly Member Johnson February 20, 2026 An act to amend Section 1250.6 of the Health and Safety Code, relating to health facilities. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2709, as introduced, Johnson. Health facilities: limited liability companies. Existing law provides for the licensure and regulation of health facilities by the State Department of Public Health. Existing law specifies that a requirement placed on, or in reference to, a corporation in the provisions regulating health facilities also applies to a limited liability company. This bill would make technical, nonsubstantive changes to this provision.
