CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2025–2026 REGULAR SESSION Assembly Bill No. 2364 Introduced by Assembly Member Ta February 19, 2026 An act to amend Section 50990 of the Government Code, relating to local government. LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2364, as introduced, Ta. Short-Term Rental Facilitator Act of 2025. Existing law, the Short-Term Rental Facilitator Act of 2025, imposes various requirements upon short-term rental facilitators, as defined. This bill would make nonsubstantive changes to the provision that names this Act. Section 50990 of the Government Code is amended to read: 50990. (a) This chapter shall be known, known and may be cited, cited as the “Short-Term Rental Facilitator Act of 2025.” (b) This chapter shall only apply to a local agency that adopts an ordinance that makes the provisions of this chapter applicable within its jurisdictional boundaries.
