A BILL
To amend the Act of August 10, 1956, to provide for the
payment of pay and allowances for certain officers of
the Army who are assigned to the Corps of Engineers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘USACE Military Aug-
4
mentation Act of 2020’’.

SEC. 2. PAYMENT OF PAY AND ALLOWANCES OF CERTAIN

OFFICERS FROM APPROPRIATION FOR IM-
2
PROVEMENTS.

Section 36 of the Act of August 10, 1956 (70A Stat.
4
634, chapter 1041), is amended—
5
(1) by striking ‘‘Regular officers of the Corps
6
of Engineers of the Army, and reserve officers of the
7
Army who are assigned to the Corps of Engineers,’’
8
and inserting the following:
9
‘‘(a) IN GENERAL.—The personnel described in sub-
10
section (b)’’; and
11
(2) by adding at the end the following:

‘‘(b) PERSONNEL DESCRIBED.—The personnel re-
13
ferred to in subsection (a) are the following:
14
‘‘(1) Regular officers of the Corps of Engineers
15
of the Army.
16
‘‘(2) The following members of the Army who
17
are assigned to the Corps of Engineers:
18
‘‘(A) Reserve component officers.
19
‘‘(B) Warrant officers (whether regular or
20
reserve component).
21
‘‘(C) Enlisted members (whether regular or
22
reserve component).’’.
