To extend the deadline for States to meet the requirements
of the REAL ID Act of 2005 due to COVID–19.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘COVID–19 REAL ID
4
Relief Act of 2020’’.

SEC. 2. EXTENSION OF COMPLIANCE DEADLINE.

The Secretary of Homeland Security shall grant to
7
States an extension until October 1, 2021, to meet the
8
requirements of section 202 of the REAL ID Act of 2005
9
(49 U.S.C. 30301 note; Public Law 109–13) due to the
