Mr. SASSE (for himself and Mrs. FISCHER) introduced the following bill;
which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Energy and Nat-
ural Resources
A BILL
To rename the Homestead National Monument of America
near Beatrice, Nebraska, as the Homestead National
Historical Park.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. HOMESTEAD NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK.

(a) IN GENERAL.—The first section of the Act of
4
March 19, 1936 (49 Stat. 1184, chapter 157; 16 U.S.C.
5
450u) is amended by striking ‘‘designated’’ and all that
6
follows through the end and inserting ‘‘designated as the
7
‘Homestead National Historical Park’.’’.

(b) REFERENCES.—Any reference in a law, map, reg-
1
ulation, document, paper, or other record of the United
2
States to the unit of the National Park System known
3
as ‘‘The Homestead National Monument of America’’
4
shall be considered to be a reference to the ‘‘Homestead
5
National Historical Park’’.
6
(c) EFFECT.—Nothing in this Act or an amendment
7
made by this Act authorizes a change in the management
8
of the Homestead National Historical Park redesignated
9
under subsection (a).
