sion, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘National Historical
4
Publications and Records Commission Reauthorization
5
Act of 2019’’.

SEC. 2. REAUTHORIZATION OF NATIONAL HISTORICAL

PUBLICATIONS AND RECORDS COMMISSION.

(a) COMPOSITION OF COMMISSION.—Section 2501(a)
3
of title 44, United States Code, is amended—
4
(1) in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by
5
striking ‘‘15’’ and inserting ‘‘16’’; and
6
(2) in paragraph (2)—
7
(A) in subparagraph (E), by striking ‘‘;
8
and’’ and inserting a semicolon; and
9
(B) by adding at the end the following:
10
‘‘(G) the Council of State Archivists; and’’.

(b) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.—Section
12
2504(g)(1) of title 44, United States Code, is amended
13
to read as follows:

‘‘(g)(1) AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS.—For
15
the purposes specified in this section, there is hereby au-
16
thorized to be appropriated to the National Historical
17
Publications and Records Commission $15,000,000 for
18
each of fiscal years 2020 through 2025.’’.
